Jacob Henry

Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider

A Franklin, Tennessee LPC-MHSP, Jacob Henry is a faith-based counselor, working with individuals who are hurting due to trauma, relationship struggles, complex family issues, depression, or anxiety. Jacob has spent his professional career serving individuals with similar concerns in multiple settings. Jacob’s practice is rooted in compassion to ensure each client feels safe as they begin his or her journey toward a healthier future.

Jacob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth and Family Ministry from Harding University. Upon graduating, he moved outside Saint Louis, Missouri where he served teenagers and their families as a Youth Minister at a local church. In this position, he counseled, taught, and cared for families as they dealt with divorce, spiritual struggles, and being a parent of a teenager. Jacob continued to deepen his knowledge and expertise by acquiring his Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Lindenwood University. Along the way, Jacob gained some unique experiences as he worked with adolescent survivors of sex trafficking at The Covering House in Saint Louis. He also worked with an Intensive Outpatient Program at Touchette Regional Hospital leading group therapy sessions for both adults and adolescents.  Additionally, Jacob interned with a local non-profit Christian Family Services to provide couples counseling. Upon completion of his Master’s degree, Jacob moved to Nashville and currently serves as a Crisis Counselor for the Davidson County Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a member of the Mobile Crisis team Jacob serves the public of Davidson County working with individuals who find themselves in a psychiatric crisis. He currently serves individuals in psychiatric crises as a supervisor of Emergency Psychiatric Services at Mental Health Cooperative. As a supervisor he manages the staff providing care to 30 voluntary inpatient beds across 3 different units. This variety of experience has greatly increased Jacob’s ability to care for those seeking professional counseling.

Jacob opened Healing Bridge Counseling to continue aiding individuals who are hurting. His love for combining his faith with this daily service to those in need helps create a positive environment for his clients as they seek to bridge the gap between where they currently find themselves and where they want to be.

When not working Jacob enjoys spending time with his friends and family around great food, spending time outdoors, and cheering on Nashville SC and the Nashville Predators. When Jacob is able to slip away from Nashville he loves to visit and experience new places. No matter where he is Jacob is always ready to meet someone new and hear about their journey. Jacob would feel privileged to be invited into your story.
